Meet Anna Roseblade - restaurant manager Sid at The French Café
Born in a little town Wrexham in the United Kingdom @annacatrinroseblade has a self-confessed deep love for hospitality and has worked in the industry for more than a decade, both part time to supplement her study, and now full time.Anna holds a degree from the London College of Fashion and has worked for two leading fashion designers in the UK. After a number of successful years, she decided to embark on a career in nursing, realizing during a COVID lockdown placement in a hospital it wasn’t what she saw herself doing long-term.Post COVID lockdowns, Anna worked as restaurant manager at Docket 33, Shropshire, run by chef Stuart Collins (one of Gordon Ramsey’s chefs), and his wife Fran, until she and chef partner Felix decided to emigrate to New Zealand in mid-2022.Arriving in Auckland in October 2022, Anna started working as Sommelier, her talents immediately realized, she was promoted to restaurant manager at Sid at the French Café in January 2022. Her partner @felixshor3 works as sous chef at the Sahrawat’s third restaurant, KOL.In her spare time Anna loves to garden (she also tends to our French kitchen garden), explore the bounty of new beaches on offer in Tāmaki Makaurau, go surfing and walking.Say hi to Anna next time you are in and let her give you a tour of our gardens.
